A VISIT FROM OUR GRANKIDS

I figure it's better late than never. Here it is Thursday already and we had a wonderful visit from my grankids, and their mommy of course, LAST FRIDAY! and I'm just now getting to brag about them! Gheez Louise! Any how, like I said, what a wonderful visit we had. It was late in the day when they all got here but we had a lot of time before the sun went down nonetheless. We had a BBQ and my honey made his mom's famous potato salad. YummY! I think he got the recipe down to a science. Don't ya think Peg n Lynn?

Zach is incredible! He, as well as all our grankids at that age, measure their height against me to see if they are as tall as I am yet. I guess they figure I'm short so I'm easy to grow pass. They make me laugh. Well, Zack is just about eye level with me already. I love him so much. He loves coming up here cuz he says it's kewl. He says there's always something fun to do. And when it's time to go home, he drags his feet and doesn't want to leave! Grandad & I both think if he were to spend some time here without his family, he'd truly get bored.

He and grandad got into the hot tub together and they had a great time; Sharing stories and laughing. Just "me and my grandad" spending "quality time" together. Zach is a lot like his grandad, entertainers. They love making people laugh! Zach once told us that when he grows up he wants to be a stand up comedian. Zach will always be 'my buddy'.

Lynn came here after work and spent the night also. Topher didn't want to come to Memay & grandad's house this time. He wanted to spend the night with his friend's. I can understand at that age, 5 now, he would rather be with his friends.

Peggy put the twins to bed for the night and we, grandad, Peggy, Lynn, Zach and I, hung out on the back deck. We had such a great time! Reminiscing and dancing and laughing so, so hard at times. I bought a bag of chocolate skittles and before Peggy had a chance to try them, as we did, they were all gone. Yummy! Me and Zach thought they were great! Sorry Peg, you snooze...you lose! This was the first time in a long time that "Pin & Leggy" were together and were able to "let their hair down". We were listening to tunes on Peg's iPod and they danced to some oldies. Very entertaining they were.

The next day I think I was the last one up, as usual. I love sleeping in the morning hours. That's when I get my best R.E.M. sleep. I think Faith was my alarm clock. She wasn't happy at that particular time and let everyone know that she was having a bad day. I think we had a great breakfast and just hung out together for the day. Peggy disappeared with her camera and Faith and Brandon and I spent some time together. Now that they can crawl, they go in 2 different direction. I'm sure they're a handful at times, to say the least, but they are just so adorable and full of life! They are happy babies. Love each other.

I was able to get a lot of pictures of them especially with them smiling. Being a grandparent makes me love them even more. We get together for a WONDERFUL visit and are able to either go home or them go home for a while until the next time. In the meantime, Us grandparents are sitting together after they leave and bragging about how much fun we had; what a great time it was being together; and how they made our day by just being here with us. Being together is a very important thing to do. We need it once in a while. It's like a shot of medicine that's really good for you and makes you feel good too at the same time.BTW, Peggy was taking pictures in the graveyard across the way fromour house. But that's another story in itself. I may share that with you at a later date.

Making memories are such an important part of our lives... They keep us ever mindful that we are loved... unconditionally! ThanQ Zach, Peggy, Lynn, Brandon and Faith for being here with us and having fun too!!
We Love You All!
