WHAT A WEEK

I'm sure everyone is back at school by now. Including Christopher. But last week, while he was at school, he developed a cough. I think it was Thursday, I heard him coughing really bad during the night so I told Lynn to let him stay home so he don't give his germs to anyone at school, where, of course, he got it in the first place.

We had a good day, he rested a lot and I gave him medicine which he really didn't want to take but did anyway. I had been up the night before, blogging of course, and hadn't gone to sleep that whole night. Well, I also wind up staying up all the next day with him. How I can't figure out but I did! The whole day! There was no one anywhere to help. Grandad spent the day in bed with pain in his back so he was out of it with medicine. So I decided to make the best of it. I absolutely love him and ALL of my grankids. I brag about them all the time, wherever I go! It was really fun being with him. He sneezed a few times and when he did...he really did. He was so full of phlegm so we kept tissues close by just in case. We played and stayed on the couch, and of course watched Sponge Bob, his favorite. On the whole, we had a good day.

Well, guess what? Yesterday I woke up feeling really, really miserable. Anyone can tell you that when my grankids are sick, I usually get sick right after them. As the day went on, I got worse and worse. I spent most of the day in bed, sleeping. My eyes, nose and mouth were so full of fluids. I had all I could do to keep it all at bay. Tissues are a wonderful thing when you're sick! So is sleeping. I still feel like my head is about to explode so, on that note, I am going to say so long, my dear, I'm going back to bed. I am really weak in the knees, and it's hard for me to breathe with all this phlegm inside my head. BTW, I am noted for making a great chicken soup. Anyone can tell you this. I'm not strong enough to be up to make it myself so my honey promised to do his best and make it for me. He's a good cook and he bakes nice goodies for all of us. What a nice honey I have! :) I think we heard it somewhere that chicken soup is Jewish penicillin. It's a cure all for being sick.

I'll get back to you when I'm all better, and I'll fill you in on what's going on here. And, I'll let you know how the soup turned out! In the mean time, go to school, learn a lot, don't get sick, have a great day and try not to miss me too much. Peace!

I am so sorry you are sick!! (and that Christopher was sick) If gas was cheaper and we lived closer - I would cook your chicken soup for you. I am pretty good at it:)

LOVE YOU!
