Christopher A Little Nervous!

As you may know by now, I have 9 grankids and this week was "BACK TO SCHOOL" week. At least it was for Christopher who is my 7th grankid. Christopher and his mommy are living with us so he started school here in Berkeley Springs this Tuesday. We (Lynn & I ) went to the "meet the teachers night" last week. All the parents were led to their child's classroom. There, we met the teacher and were told what to expect in the coming year. His school has only kindergartens thru 2nd grades. There are 4 kindergartens, 2 which have 25 students and Christopher's class and the other kindergarten has 26 students.

My Little Boy's Anxious And Ready!

He was so excited and very nervous about the whole thing. He was excited about riding on the school bus which picks him and his friends up and drops them off right at the bottom of our driveway. How convenient! Lynn and Christopher went through alllll his clothes to choose which he wants to keep and which he wants to give away. He had so many clothes which were given to Lynn throughout the years. Even though he has a bunch of clothes, he only wants to wear camouflage. He even has camouflage slip on sneakers. I'm sure he'll wear other clothes. (Maybe, hehehehee) He's a 5 year old going on 10, if you know what I mean. He has a mind of his own and he sure tries to get what he wants as often as he can. I'm sure it's typical of all kids!

Anyway, It's been 2 days since he has been going to school and so far, he's earned 2 balloon stamps. If anyone gets 5 stamps, they get to pick a prize. This gives them the incentive to behave and cooperate with the teacher. So far, he's happy, loves going on the bus, likes the fact that he knows a lot of students, even in other grades going to his school. I'll keep you posted later in the year about how he's doing.
